  • Acclaim: to welcome or salute with shouts or sounds of joy and approval; applaud OR to announce or proclaim with enthusiastic approval
  • Adventure: an exciting or very unusual experience OR participation in exciting undertakings or enterprises
  • Alpargatas: originally a simple cloth shoe worn by Brazilian coffee field workers, later the name of the factory that produced them and the parent company of havaians
  • Art: the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance
  • Bali: an island in Indonesia, Capital: Singaraja
  • Batik: a technique of hand-dyeing fabrics by using wax as a dye repellent to cover parts of a design, dyeing the uncovered fabric with a color or colors, and dissolving the wax in boiling water
  • Beach Wear: clothing for wear at a beach, swimming pool, etc
  • Bikini: a very brief, close-fitting, two-piece bathing suit for women or girls
  • Brand: kind, grade, or make, as indicated by a stamp or trademark
  • Brazil: A country in South America, it is the fifth-largest country by geographical area, the fifth most populous country, and the fourth most populous democracy in the world. Official language is Portuguese.
  • Carnival: an annual festival celebrating all bodily pleasures, held 40 days before Easter, marking the beginning of Lent during which time Roman Catholics are supposed to abstain from all pleasure. Brazil’s Carnival is known as one of the world’s most lavish and exciting.
  • Chic: attractive and fashionable; modern, stylish and elegant
  • Comfortable: producing or affording physical comfort, support, or ease
  • Consumer: a person or organization that uses a commodity or service
  • Cool: slang - great; fine; excellent
  • Decorate: to adorn with something ornamental or attractive
  • Earth: the planet third in order from the sun with a distance of 92.9 million miles or 149.6 million km from it
  • Ecology: The study of interrelationships of organisms and their environment.
  • Ethical: pertaining to or dealing with morals or the principles of morality; pertaining to right and wrong in conduct
  • Flip-Flop: a sandal fashioned after the Japanese Zori consisting of a sole and two simple straps to secure the sandal on that extend from either side to meet between the first and second toe
  • Genuine: possessing the claimed or attributed character, quality, or origin; not counterfeit; authentic; real
  • Girls: female children, from birth to full growth
  • Havaianas: the best rubber sandal of the world
  • Health: the general condition of the body or mind with reference to soundness and vigor
  • Independent: not influenced or controlled by others in matters of opinion, conduct, etc.; thinking or acting for oneself
  • Individual: a distinct, indivisible entity; a single thing, being, instance, or item
  • Innovation: something new or different introduced
  • Jamaica: An island in the Caribbean Sea. Called Xaymaca, meaning the "Land of Wood and Water" by its original Taíno inhabitants, it was known as Santiago during Spanish possession, and later became the British West Indies Crown colony of Jamaica. The country motto is Out of Many, One People and it is the third most populous anglophone country in all of the Americas, after the United States and Canada.

  • Modern: characteristic of present and recent time; contemporary; not antiquated or obsolete
  • Money: gold, silver, or other metal in pieces of convenient form stamped by public authority and issued as a medium of exchange and measure of value
  • Music: Vocal or instrumental sounds possessing a degree of melody, harmony, or rhythm
  • Naomi Campbell: International supermodel and businesswoman who wears both havaianas flip-flops and Rosa Chá bikinis
  • Natural: based on the state of things in nature; constituted by nature
  • Nature: the elements of the natural world, as mountains, trees, animals, or rivers
  • Original: new; fresh; inventive; novel; arising or proceeding independently of anything else
  • Paris Hilton: an American debutante, singer, actress, model, celebrity and businesswoman who wears both havaianas flip-flops and Rosa Chá bikinis
  • Pleasure: enjoyment or satisfaction derived from what is to one's liking; gratification; delight
  • Reggae-To-Wear: brand of sun wear from the 1990’s which was inspired by the music and rhythms of Jamaica
  • Rosa Chá: a high-end Brazilian bikini and beach wear line
  • Sandals: A shoe consisting of a sole fastened to the foot by thongs or straps. A low-cut shoe fastened to the foot by an ankle strap.
  • Sensual: pertaining to, inclined to, or preoccupied with the gratification of the senses or appetites; carnal; fleshly
  • Shoes: A durable covering for the human foot, made of a durable material with a rigid sole and heel.
  • Sophisticated: altered by education, experience, etc., so as to be worldly-wise; not naive
  • Sustainable: meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs
  • Synonymous: Having the same or a similar meaning, equivalent in connotation
  • Vision: the act or power of anticipating that which will or may come to be
